Dr. Yisroel Benporat serves as a lecturer at Yeshiva University in the Department of History and in the Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought. Previously, he taught history at City College and Queens College, and he served as Managing Editor of Lehrhaus. He holds a PhD in history from CUNY Graduate Center, and he graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University. His peer-reviewed publications include articles in Journal of Early American History and Tradition: A Journal of Orthodox Jewish Thought. He has also written public scholarship for a variety of venues, including RealClear History, Lehrhaus, TraditionOnline, Jewish Journal, and Torah Musings. His work has been featured by the Jack Miller Center, Mosaic Magazine, and 18Forty. He has also appeared as a guest on multiple podcast episodes.
